Relying on note cards is the safest way to ensure a rigid and possibly disastrous speech. Once you have several prepared speeches, allow organizations like the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce know that you are available. Many civil and business organizations have a special guest to their weekly or monthly meetings. You will not get paid, but the experience is invaluable. Even though you know you would never use the product or service, may have a friend or family member who will do it.
