RSS Feeds Explained

RSS syndication or rich site, is sweeping the internet as the new content provider. For owners of blogs, this feature very useful means two things, getting the content out there for the world to see and providing content for your blog when you do not have time to write. Most bloggers prefer to write their own content and use their RSS feeds to promote their blog, rather than fill it with content from other sites.

It can get confusing for readers to move from blog to blog, even if one blog is not updated frequently. Instead of going to every single blog, readers can subscribe to the RSS feed for each of his favorite blogs and see all of a player, such as Google Reader or FeedDemon. There, the feed will appear for all the blogs in one place for easy reading. They may also be divided into folders for easy organization.

The RSS feed contains the average post title, plus a summary and a link to the article. Some feeds will give you the full story, however. The choice is up to the bloggers to decide whether to provide a summary or full article. The synthesis has the advantage of directing readers to your blog, but many do not bother to click on the link unless the post is very interesting. However, if you provide the full post, you can lose valuable time advertising.

RSS feeds are created using a language called XML, which is somewhat similar to HTML. Is based on XML tags, which allows bloggers to set their own tags to be easily found by readers and webmasters looking for fresh content for their websites. Many blog platforms automatically generate an XML feed that can then be signed by anyone with a reader.

Most RSS feeds are simply the URL of the blog, with / feed / to the end, but not all feeds are created equally. To find out what your feed is, if you can not find your blog, go to a feed reader like Google Reader and type in the URL. If there is a feed into existence, will appear there.

An RSS feed is a valuable tool for any blogger. You can use it to promote your content and get more readers, providing a feed you can subscribe, saving time and effort. People more subscribers to your blog, readers have more exposure and more! ......
