Safety Tips hotel for business travelers
Traveling comes with its dangers, even if you're staying in a five star hotel. Here are several safety tips you should keep in mind the hotel the next time you go out of town.
Surveillance
Do not rely on the hotel's security system. I wonder if the management is in league with potential intruders of your room? Set up your surveillance system in the room.
Start by running a sweep bug. This may seem paranoid, but if you believe that there is great interest in what you have stored in your hotel room then there is nothing to lose and everything to gain by this action. There are also other detectors that can be used to determine the presence and location of hidden cameras.
If you are completely sure that your hotel room is secured, the next thing to do is put under surveillance. Install wireless, battery-powered cameras hidden in strategic locations. Toss in a camera or two decoy to mislead potential intruders.
Make sure that the cameras are ready for the web to allow remote access and on-line monitoring system. Do not set the DVR in your hotel room like this, of course, you give away. Set somewhere else and make sure that you'll never run out of disk space.
Install alarms and other security gadgets to prevent unauthorized access and break-ins to your room. In addition to doors and windows, air vents in the ceiling can also be another way to get into your room so be sure to fortify these.
Hotel Safety Tips to employees with the intent Ill

Never leave your room unlocked or unattended. It only takes a few seconds to create a lot of trouble if you know what you're doing.
If someone asks for entry to the room and identified himself as an employee of the structure, re-check their identity with the hotel management. If you have not made any demand for their services, it is likely that hotels will not take the initiative to send an employee to the slums as they are far too busy for such stories.
