Free meditation: 5 simple techniques and easy to get started now
There are many forms of meditation and a meditation technique may be appropriate for you but not for me. Some people find that meditation can be frustrating, as you see your mind jump from one topic to another and the concept of "clean" seems an impossible task.
Here are five simple meditation techniques you can use to get started in the practice of meditation - or you're a practitioner to further enhance your practice.
Free Meditation 1: The Mantra
One way to cope with a busy mind during meditation is to focus on something, and the use of a mantra - a sacred song or repetition of a word - is a great way to do it. When continuously repeats a word, phrase or statement, you can easily take your place at a relaxed but focused. A simple "thank you" or "om" may help.
Free Meditation 2: The walking meditation
Some people just do not want to sit still long enough to meditate successfully. Fortunately, there is a solution - standing meditations. All you need do is find a quiet and relaxing place to not be disturbed, then watch yourself as you walk very slowly. You have to walk far. In fact, you can walk from one side to another or make small circles around the room. The important thing is to simply put all your attention on each part of your body while moving. Observe the sensations or feelings as you go, but instead of trying to describe or analyze, just see how the movement feels.
Guided Meditation 3: Meditation with Deep Breaths
Pay attention to your breathing is one of the simplest techniques of meditation. All you have to do with this technique is to observe how your body reacts to breathe through your nose, filling your lungs. Please note the sensations your body rises and expands on inhalation, shrinks slightly when exhaling. When your mind starts to wander to other thoughts, all you have to do is focus on your breathing again. Do this as many times as necessary without allowing anger, frustration or criticism appear to deter you.
Free Meditation 4: Guided Meditations
The meditations and guided visualizations are very concrete and positive to focus on. For example, you might just want to visualize yourself in a peaceful setting for relaxation easier. Or, you may want to see you having success in a goal you set for yourself. Some people use guided visualizations to achieve specific goals, and others do it as a way to relax without falling asleep. The important thing with a guided meditation is to maintain steady breathing, feel good about what you're viewing and focus on the details to make the display feel as real as possible.
Free Meditation 5: Meditations on Consciousness
The meditations of conscience require you to pay attention to what is happening inside your body and your surroundings. What sounds do you hear? What is the feeling of your body? - How do you sit? Where is the tension or ease? Can you smell any scent? What tastes can taste? By doing this type of meditation, your goal is to observe without judging or interpreting. Just be aware of sensations, sounds, smells and tastes.
Meditation is a great way to refocus, relax and revitalize your mind - all at the same time! If you are unable to concentrate after a few minutes, do not worry. It takes practice. Try one of these meditation techniques for a couple of weeks and you'll be able to see amazing results!
