The education can be improved
Intelligence is perfectly distributed throughout society. It is normal that some people are "smarter" than others in some things, but is offset in other types of intelligence.
Howard Gardner talks about 9 types of intelligence (linguistic, logical, spatial, musical, bodily, emotional, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and naturalist). Another person might categorize the types of intelligence in different ways (see note at end).
Regardless of the above categorization, all people are different, but we tend to generalize in order to understand the environment where we live. One of the fundamental principles of "Huna" (Hawaiian philosophy) said that all systems are arbitrary, it really means that all systems are invented by humans to facilitate their understanding of nature.
The above sounds very interesting theory, but have a very serious practical consequence, education in our schools is based on these generalizations, so if the child leaves the averages is considered rebellious or stupid, either way the rest of your life will be affected, economic, social and even criminal for society.
I agree that generalizations and categorizations are needed to understand and impart knowledge, but the methods of teaching and learning should be based on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual, the important person is the student, not the teacher. I feel that the Education in Costa Rica is designed to make the teacher's job easier, disregarding the fact that we are training people who will lead our society. Today at school the next president of the country, which is probably a classmate of future money launderer, or child molester, murderer, storekeeper, teacher, in short, every one of the students are important. It is in us if they become people who make or destroy our society.
It is worth posing the problem without proposing a solution, so the knowledge transfer process should be something like:
The teacher should speak clearly and simply, without words rebuscadas.El teacher must maintain student attention at all times with voice changes, interaction with the student practice, living examples, a positive attitude, and language should put coloquial.El listener energy to understand the concepts of the teacher. If the student does not learn, no way to learn. It is the responsibility of the teacher to identify how the student perceives the information through any of the five senses (hearing, sight, smell, touch, taste). The student must live (experience) concepts comprenderlos.El student to repeat the experience of the concepts in order to internalize and become part of your life.
Note that although I am generalizing the learning process, applied to the case that all people are different.
Final Note: Individually, I want to share the following types of intelligence that make sense to me:
Memory: Ability to play things and events perceived in the emotional pasado.Inteligencia: Ability to perceive a situation objectively, without involving the ego, insecurities or fears social personales.Inteligencia: Ability to fall logically bien.Inteligencia: Ability to interrelate variables . Artistic Intelligence: Ability to express ideas and emotions through internal environmental factors ambiente.Inteligencia sports: Ability to coordinate the parts of the body and relate to their environment ambiente.Sensibilidad: Ability to perceive emotions and others.
